Guide on Climate Change and Indigenous Peoples

The guide aims to enhance indigenous peoples knowledge on climate change, so that they are better equipped to participate more effectively in shaping relevant policies and actions taken to address this issue. It also aims to inform non-indigenous peoples on the indigenous experiences and perspectives on climate change. The guide covers the topics of climate change causes, impacts, mitigation and adaptation measures as well as the UN Declaration on the Rights of Ingidenous Peoples and REDD. (Tebtebba, 2009)

'Fever' is a unique set of videos for indigenous communities to raise awareness and build knowledge about the issue of climate change and how it relates to indigenous peoples, cultures, rights and territories. Dubbed into 6 languages, these videos have been disseminated to local communities in over 20 countries.


REDD

'REDD on the Threshold' is a video that introduces key concepts to help local communities understand REDD+. The video discusses the risks and opportunities faced by communities and is being screened in REDD+ project areas in Indonesia.
